BTT was founded in 2000 by Master Murilo Bustamante. He is the first UFC belt champion. Bustamante is the Master of jiu-jitsu, a world champion in 1999. He is four-time Brazilian champion and UFC heavyweight world champion.
Brazilian Top Team academy main aim is to provide a friendly and family environment and the best training for combat sports. We offer Brazilian jiu-jitsu classes to age 3 and up, teenagers, women and adults. Jiu-jitsu has proven to be the most effective tools for anti-bullying, self-defense, self-confidence, self-esteem, for both the young and old. Diego Gamonal Nogueira is the head coach of Brazilian Top Team academies in Texas. He is a 3rd degree black belt holder of 2006 by Master Ricardo Marques. He is a supreme renowned jiu-jitsu athlete in the world. Gamonal has already fought with almost every major names in the sport, and his most recent fight was the World No Gi final against world champion Tarsis Humphreys becoming three consecutive times world champion 2016, 2017 and 2018 back to back. What a life victory! In 2007 he also fought professional MMA and is actively competing jiu-jitsu. His skills and technique are unique and precise. He has his own DVD and signature submission called, “The Invisible Arm Bar” sold at bjjfanatics.com. He also has his first technique book coming out soon. His main priority now is his students and team growth. His main goal is “to disseminate what he has learned, creating not only champions on the mat but also champions in life!”
